His experience includes having prepared applications for, and negotiating Title V, RCRA and NPDES permits. At various times he has worked as a chemical process engineer, ran a chemical production process, led a SARA emissions reduction task force, performed air emission calculations, and developed the first Title V Application and Risk Management Plan for the facility where he worked. In the early 2000s he participated in a program led by his manager that fundamentally changed the environmental compliance culture of the facility where he worked. In the late 2000’s he was responsible for waste classification for the demolition of an over 50-year-old chemical plant and assisted an 8,000-person facility improve control and compliance for waste generated at their site. More recently he has focused on preparation of Georgia Title V and SIP air permit applications and air permit compliance for both large and small facilities. During his career he has been the site lead for approximately 30 GAEPD compliance inspections and has maintained good working relationships with GAEPD personnel in Air, RCRA and Wastewater branches dating back to the 1980s.
